Since 1964, with the enactment of Presidential Executive Order 11174, over 30,000 U.S. Armed Services Members have received the Presidential Service Badge/Certificate for honorable service in the White House. From the young Marine Corporal serving as a Crew Chief aboard Marine One to the General Officer serving in the Executive Office of the President, and anywhere in between, these men and women have demonstrated a sustained performance of a superlative nature. Members of the Armed Forces have served the Presidency of this Nation proudly since its founding days.
The Presidential Service Association is a non-profit organization created to provide a network, to construct a history of service, demonstrate the traditions and pride of that service for U.S. Armed Services Personnel/Veterans who served in the White House prior to or, after the creation of the White House Service Certificate, Presidential Service Badge/Certificate or Vice-Presidential Service Certificate/Badge.
The Honorable Colin Powell, former Secretary of State and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff during the Gulf War, The Honorable Charles Robb, former U.S. Senator from Virginia, and Admiral Charles R. Larson, former Superintendent, U.S. Naval Academy--all recent members, are some of the more recognizable recipients of the Presidential Service Badge.
